DYS is committed to the safety of your family and our staff members. Our Instructors and Childcare Staff Members undergo year-round COVID-19 safety classes to ensure that safety is continuously the priority of each member of our team.   During uncertain times, we strive to do our best to provide some peace of mind for our families.  All in-person classes and after school child care is at the discretion of the school districts.  Currently Southside ISD and Southwest ISD are permitting in-person after school karate & dance classes.  Students in Northside ISD have two options available this semester.  Please see NISD class Registration page for details.

For all Spring 2021 Dance, Cheer, Alert Child, KarateSmart & Martial Arts classes, DYS requires masks & PPE to be worn at all times by participants & instructors while inside the facility.  A contact free temperature check may be required as you enter the building, and every student is required to use the hand sanitizer provided by DYS both before and after class. 
 
For Southside ISD classes, only one parent is allowed to remain in the gym with their student during class.  At this time, siblings are NOT permitted to accompany parents/students to class unless they are registered to take the class.  Parents, please bring your own fold-up chair or seating while waiting for your child during class.  Guests are not allowed to borrow chairs from the facility at this time.  This is the current policy of the school districts for safety purposes. 

For Southwest ISD classes, parents will not be allowed in the facility. The instructor will release students to parents/guardian at the designated curbside pickup area. Instructor will require ID of individual picking up their student and will only dismiss students to those who are listed on the emergency pick up form (see below).

IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH A SICK INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, IF YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN SICK WITH COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, OR IF SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS BEEN SICK, HAS HAD A FEVER, AND/OR A SEVERE COUGH... PLEASE STAY HOME FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS, FAMILIES, & STAFF.
